Effective Lean Management Skills ? Achieving results through people

Description
Competition is driving the need to change how we manage and lead people. One of North America?s weaknesses has been to promote people who are good technically into managerial positions based on their technical capabilities – not on their knowledge of how to achieve results through people. For many, the change was made with little training provided which created the risk of weakening the company?s technical strength, while putting in place managers who could be more effective given basic skills and tools. Today, achieving results through people has never been more critical. The roles and skill sets held by technical contributors and managers are very different. For today?s Lean environments, where productivity and continuous improvement determine one?s ability to compete and win, this course provides down-to-earth, basic thinking, plus the proven tools and skills needed to achieve results through people.
The course has been delivered to over 600 Lean leaders at all levels. It requires a minimum of four (4) days because of the changes in thinking required to sustain the lessons provided. Day-1 & Day-2 are back-to-back because of their intensity, followed by 3-5 weeks before Day-3 & Day 4 to enable participants to complete on-site assignments. Participants will be fully involved throughout and expected to read the excellent relevant daily reading assignments. More information
