Southeast Alberta is enriched with opportunities relating to the Defence Research Development Canada (DRDC), at CFB Suffield in the field of defence, research and technology. The Economic Development Alliance of Southeast Alberta is inviting companies, with an innovative product, interested in technology advancement, to work in a collaborative environment in the Redtec Incubator.
Redtec, a business incubator facility, allows clients to focus on bringing their innovation to market while having access to a facility, industry equipment, technical and business support, mentoring and grants. There is no cost for services and minimal investment required by clients. The incubator is in a secure facility with a non-disclosure agreement in place. “We understand the complicated demands of taking an idea to market; this is a great opportunity for new businesses. Most inventors aren’t marketers and vice versa, the incubator is an opportunity to have business support and high tech mentoring and advice at your fingertips,” said Pete Loignon, Innovation Facilitator for the EDA. “Any technical company with an innovative product is a match, this project is designed to accommodate several sectors. “ Redcliff Technology Enterprise Centre (Redtec) is a privately owned facility custom designed to accommodate business incubation including: applied research with assigned or shared lab space, serviced workstations, meeting and training rooms and office services. The EDA has an Innovation Facilitator and Business Development Manager to assist in market analysis, feasibility assessment, accessing funding programs, design and construction of Proof of Concept to pre-production models. The EDA supports the expansion of a technology Incubator and rural outreach advisement capacity The Economic Development Alliance of Southeast Alberta (EDA) is a non-profit organization funded by the City of Medicine Hat, the Towns of Bow Island and Redcliff and the Counties of Cypress and Forty Mile.
