Economic and Labour Market Information for south east Alberta
Key economic and labour market partners in southeast Alberta commissioned a research study and analysis to determine if there was a community and business need for timely, area-specific data to increase employer awareness of local labour market information to enable them to make better-informed workforce decisions.
Results of the study confirmed a strong need for local and timely economic and labour market information compiled in a specified format. It was determined that to obtain information, we needed an individual to research and compile the information for analysis which could be then distributed to area employers, managers, educational institutions, economic development organizations and other community stakeholders regarding current and expected demographic economic and labour market conditions.
