Business Development Officer Eager to Assist Local Companies Increase Productivity

November 23, 2010, Medicine Hat Alberta...New to the position of business development officer, Natalie Falk brings 12 years of pertinent industry knowledge and experience to her role with the Economic Development Alliance of Southeast Alberta. Offering business assistance to companies in southeast Alberta, Falk can assist local industry by: providing necessary research, suggesting funding opportunities, aiding in growth and expansion, and providing up-to-date industry knowledge.

“Economic development allows a person to positively change and advance key sectors in an area; for southeast Alberta , oil and gas and alternative energy are some of the resources creating a stable economy,” said Natalie Falk, business development officer for the Economic Development Alliance of Southeast Alberta. “I’m interested in assisting these sectors expand and grow, while using my experience to provide companies with the information they require.”

Obtaining a Bachelor of Science, Natalie has a diverse work portfolio including: executive director for the Association of Heritage Industries, economic and business development officer with Kittiwake Economic Development Corporation as well as assistant to past Cabinet Minister of the House of Assembly, Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation and Department of Industry: Trade and Technology, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

“Focusing on business development, in particular, my experience with government entities, economic development organizations and background as an entrepreneur will provide both a strategic approach as well as technical knowledge,” said Falk. “As a consultant I conducted viability studies and research and created business plans and developed strategies.”
