Recently announced, the Province of Alberta's Finance and Enterprise is developing a business productivity and competitiveness program for the Alberta aerospace and defence sector. Synergetics Group Inc will be assisting the government in establishing a program that develops industry so it can achieve a better share of the overall revenue potential.
Canada’s aerospace sector is the fifth largest aerospace manufacturing and service supplier in the world and in 2009 generated approximately $22 billion in revenue, with $1.3 billion coming from Alberta.
The program will enhance the capabilities of Alberta companies and increase competitiveness and productivity. For more information on this project read the letter to the A&D sector written by David Peace, Senior Director for Aerospace and Defence Industry Development.
